A beautiful open space preserve in the heart of the Peninsula. Dog-friendly, with a large off-leash section in the center of the preserve. Several hikes of varying lengths to choose from!
Getting there: exit Highway 280 at Edgewood Road, travel .75 miles east, turn left on Crestview Drive, then immediately left again on Edmonds Road.
Once parked, there are several different path options through the park. All of them connect in a large loop, and return to the parking lot. The Cordilleras trail is a paved road that goes uphill from the parking lot at a 10% grade. Dogs are allowed to roam freely on the majority of this trail, designated by signs attached to wooden fences surrounding the area. Coming down the mountain, one can return the same way, or follow one of the smaller trails off the side of the paved path. Both Dusky-footed Woodrat trail and Dick Bishop trail are smaller paths that return back to the parking lot.
The other option from the parking lot are are Polly Geraci trail. This trail has more vegetation and connects to Cordilleras trail after a 1-mile loop.
Don't miss the views from the top of the mountain!

I went twice with my dog who loves walking in the woods! Nice spot, I would recommend it for a quick walk with your dog:)

This hike is fine if you don't mind keeping your pup on leash. I have done it a few times now and have yet to find any off leash area other then a loop that's maybe 0.3-0.5miles. Not nearly enough space for an active dog to get some exercise. I didn't bother with the on leash areas as other dog owners promptly warned me that they were handing out citations and sitting at the entrance to trail heads.

A section of this trail is an off-leash dog area. One of the few nearby! Be advised there are zero trash cans or water at the trailhead for your pup.
