Beautiful hike along a cascading stream that finishes with a stunning waterfall.

My favorite hike in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. From the visitor center you will take Kennedy Memorial Drive towards the dam, make a left at Brandy Creek Road. At a junction for Sheep camp/Shasta Bally make a left. You will arrive at the trailhead. This hike follows a beautiful stream through forested area. There are multiple waterfalls along the way. The path is well maintained. There are many spots along the creek where you will want to stop to take pictures.

When the creek is running heavy there are spots were you may get wet because the trail comes close to the running water.  Be careful of slippery rocks.

Reviews

Mostly easy hike along a beautiful creek ripe with waterfalls ranging from small and gentle to big and raging! Helpful bridges when you have to cross little streams, and once you’re hiking down along Brandy Creek, for the last bit of the hike to the main fall, there are handy metal rails to hold onto. Once you get to the main waterfall, there is a climbing path to the right where you can reach the top of the falls. Coming down is, as with any uphill hike, very quick and easy! My 11-yr old son and I hiked it in mid-March, which was a little chilly but very lush.
