This hike leads to an amazing waterfall of about 50 feet in Cuyahoga National Park, Contour Falls, that is unknown by most.
This hike begins at the trail-head of Cuyahoga National Park. Once arrived, you will cross a bridge overlooking the Cuyahoga River. You will take the tow-path left, and follow it under the Route 82 bridge (you will pass a manmade waterfall on your right, but still have 0.4 miles to go). You will take this path for about 0.5 miles until you reach a stream that flows into the river on the right. There are two streams that flow into the river, and you will need to reach the second one. Once spotted, you will need to wade through the water, which is rather shallow. After you are on the other side of the river, you will need to begin hiking upstream. Along the way, be sure to stop and take in the sights around you, it is amazing! Roughly 1/8 of a mile into your hike, you will come to a fork en-route. Make sure you take the path that leads right. Follow the stream for another 1/8 of a mile, and you will arrive at your destination, Contour Falls! This hike is rather challenging, so make sure you are prepared by wearing the appropriate attire, it is well worth getting a little muddy!

Reviews
This is a spring or summer hike. There are parts of the trail where you have to wade through mid calf/knee water. It is unavoidable. Shouldn’t risk hypothermia. If you are parking at the station road bridge lot, follow the path across the bridge and make a left. The cuyahoga river will always be on your left while the creek will be on your right. The other review had me going in the wrong direction for 30 minutes. The man made waterfall has a sign in front of it calling it a mudcatcher. That way you know you’re going in the right direction.
