Hike along a narrow shelf hundreds of feet in the air, with plenty of stunning alpine views below. Don't try to cross the Katwalk if there's still snow. It's definitely not the place you'd want to slip and fall.
Starting near Snoqualmie Pass, hike the historic Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) through old-growth forests and boulder fields to the "Kendall Katwalk," a high ledge of rock carved out of a mountain side many years ago using dynamite.
The hike to the Katwalk gradually gains elevation using switchbacks with occasional views of surrounding peaks, such as Guye Peak to the west, Red Mountain to the north, and, on a clear day, even Mount Rainier to the south, to name a few. Arrival at the Katwalk offers panoramic views of numerous peaks in the Cascades and a pleasant lunch stop before turning around to return the way you came.

Reviews
The Kendall Katwalk has some pretty sweet views, but it does skirt around a main objective for hikers in this area: the summit of Kendall Peak. There are a few options from the Katwalk to reach the top, but none should take longer than 20-30 minutes. Definitely worth the extra time to check out a panoramic view of the entire Snoqualmie Pass and Commonwealth Basin areas!

Thanks for sharing this Scott! Looks like a cool trail. Have been wanting to do the Kendall "dog" walk with my pup for a couple years but haven't tried it out.
