Embark on an adventure to explore one of many gems located within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
Starting at an elevation of 3,300 feet, begin the hike on a steep gravel road for 1/4 of a mile. Take a left onto a dirt road that will lead to an area of clear cuts and windy switchbacks.
As daunting as this may seem, don't be discouraged. On a clear day, the surrounding peaks of Snoqualmie Pass can be seen as you begin to gain elevation. Take a breather and look behind you as Keechelus Lake sparkles in the sun. In addition, in Spring and Fall months, an abundance of dancing wildflowers will be ever present.
Continue onward into the dense forested area and at 2.0 miles the trail intersects with the path to Lake Lillian. Stick to the right and descend down towards Margaret Lake for another mile.
Once you reach the lake at an elevation 5,100 feet, unpack your lunch, kick back and take in the view.
