Hike to Morgan Creek Falls

Begin your hike at the Noquemenon South Trailhead and follow the markings for the Morgan Creek Falls loop. You will immediately have to cross Hwy 553 to get to the main trail. From there, you have two options to reach the falls. The first and more scenic is the marked Noquemenon trail (look for blue blazes on the trees). This trail is very circuitous, winding back and forth along the hills and down to the river, but the scenery and isolation of the hike make it worth it. The other route follows Marquette Mountain Road - which you can drive down in the summer, but is closed in the winter. You will have to cross this road while following the hiking trail, so it is easy to find. This is the route to take if you are just interested in seeing the falls since it is flat and the most direct route. However, this is also a snowmobile route in the winter and can be dangerous to walkers. Make sure to stay along the side of the road and get off the road entirely if you hear snowmobilers - they will not be looking for you. 

Whichever route you take will lead you to the spur trial to Morgan Creek Falls, which is marked by a sign. The falls are small, but the whole glade around the falls is worth the visit as well. 

This whole route can be done anytime of year and would be great for snowshoeing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer.
