Hike to Peričnik Waterfall

You'll enjoy seeing this waterfall in Slovenia's Triglav National Park with such a short hike and easy access. If you park you car at the hut, it costs 2 Euros. You can also drive right past the hut and park on the side of the road. Most people did this instead. The hut offers food and drinks, if you're needing some snacks for the hike. In front of the hut is a sign pointing you to the main trail to the waterfall.

Climb up the steep but well-maintained trail to a small wooden bridge that crosses in front of the base of the falls. Here you’ll get your first good look at the breathtaking 170′ Peričnik falls. Stop on the bridge for a quick picture but don’t turn around just yet – the best views are past the waterfall.

Continue across the bridge to the opposite side of the falls and up the steep bank. From here you can hike under the massive overhang and behind the waterfall! You’ll encounter spray from the waterfall, and the overhang drips constantly so be prepared to get wet.

You can continue on up a steep path to an upper, much less visited 50′ waterfall (Upper Peričnik Waterfall), or you can continue on the same trail and head down the trail to the right of the falls to make it a loop.
