Hike to Signal des Voirons

Description

Duration: 3 hours. 4.5km roundtrip hike. Panoramic view of Leman (Geneva) Lake, Jura mountain range, French Alps, Mont Blanc. Accessible for children.

Begin at the marked path to the right of the parking lot, near the monastery. The trail is steep at first, but this lasts only for a few meters, in the undergrowth. When you leave the woods, follow the paved road for about one hundred meters, then turn left at the slope, indicated by an arrow sign. Continue along the path towards the entrance of the convent of the Sisters of Bethlehem. Entering back into the forest, follow the ascending path, which will take you to the crest of Voirons within ten minutes.

From the left of the Signal des Voirons, head towards Le Saut de la Pucelle, where you will find a dizzying headland. Continue to the tip of Brantaz, where you can see the majestic peaks alongside Mont Blanc.

To head back to the monastery, retrace your steps and turn right at the fork (do not go up the ridge).
