Parish Creek is an easy hike along the beautiful creek to ancient petroglyphs. This is a dog-friendly hike.
The petroglyphs are pretty easy to find and it is such a short hike you can do it in about 45 minutes.
To get to the trailhead, drive to Centerville, Utah and take 400 N all the way towards the mountain. The road with curve to the right with a small dirt road heading to the left. Take the dirt road and follow it to the top and there will be a large parking area. The trailhead is at the north of the parking area.
Follow the trail as it heads up the mountain and when you come to a fork head north. This trail should head down into the canyon and over a red bridge. Immediately after the bridge turn right and head up canyon. You will hike along the stream and pass a small but beautiful waterfall. Continue up canyon until you reach a small rocky area that requires easy climbing. The petroglyphs are under the small overhand. There is a sign nearby warning people not to deface the petroglyphs. Return the way you came.

The bridge is cute! The initial climb before the fork was a little steep, but was really the only steep part. Right now the creek is very high but the trail was still accessible, except at the end nearest to the petroglyphs.... the water fall was much bigger than expected!!! It only took us about 1 hr and 15 min round trip and we sat near the waterfall for a few minutes. My 8 and 10 year old hiking partners had no issues.

Super fast and easy hike. Mostly shaded by the mountains and trees. Very pretty with the stream going down the mountain and little waterfall and a red bridge and cool petroglyphs! Easy to find them!
