Explore the Roswell Mill an a covered bridge and Vickery Creek Falls on this 4.7 mile loop.
From Riverside Road, the Vickery Creek Trail takes you alongside the creek, then to an intersection where you will turn right. Switch onto Outer Loop Trail at the next intersection, and keep an eye out for marked junctions going forward.
The trail will take you to the Roswell Mill waterfall, then to a covered bridge 3 miles in, before reaching the ruins of the mill, itself. There is a nice waterfall past the mill ruins.
Retrace your steps across the covered bridge, cross the creek, then take Vickery Creek Trail back to where you started.
To keep on route (there are lots of trail junctions) follow these waypoints in order, as marked on the park's trail map: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 25, 18, 17, 16.
For more, visit downtown Roswell down the street for great food venues and various shops.

Great place to go for a day of adventuring! There is a 20ft cliff to jump off of past the falls on the right and if you go a bit further there is a rope swing. You can swim at the base of the waterfall and if you look hard enough towards the center of the falls there is a hidden cave big enough to hold 5 people if you walk through the water.

Being from California and visiting Marietta Georgia we were limited on time. This hike was completely shaded and so the sun and humidity was not bad (being a visitor to the area). The dam/water was very cool and there was several places to sit and have lunch. The only negatives were that it was kinda crowded and close to the road. Over all not bad for a quick short hike.

This hike was very nice in some regards, but I felt it was a bit average in other ways too. The trail itself and the markings were awesome. There are a bunch of variations to take the trail, so if you want you can log some serious miles here. The covered bridge is also really cool, as you don't see those every day. The Chattahoochee River here is also fairly scenic and has some of the larger rapids in the area of the river around Atlanta. Although this hike has some mild climbs and descents, it is fairly easy and should be doable for most adults and even kids. Given the many variations in the trail that I mentioned earlier, you can pretty much make the hike as short or long as you wish. The forested sections are nice and shady, but are not particularly special in appearance. Even though it is nice that there is a park this big to hike in so close to the city, I was not a huge fan of the road noise you get on various sections of the trail. Overall I had a nice time, but this hike is probably behind some other local Chattahoochee hikes such as Sope Creek Trail and the East Palisades Trail in terms of priority to re-visit.

The pup & I went. She seemed to enjoy it more than me, but it's really chill and a lot to do.

It's really a local crowd kind of thing. Really cool if you want to bring a date and eno. Very low key and easy

Roswell Mill is a fun, adventurous, yet inner city destination that is sure to amaze those that have never seen it before. There is miles of trails, a massive waterfall, cliff jumping, and a bunch more of fun activities. There is always good people to meet, and stories from local Roswell citizens about the mill. Definitely a place you should visit if you're living, new, or just traveling through Georgia.

Amazing that this is so close to downtown Roswell. Nice series of trails--great for a family outing. Plenty to see on the trails--waterfalls, old mills, etc--and the trails are well maintained. If you pay attention to the markers, you'll do well.
