Snow Canyon Overlook is an easy hike with stunning views and a gorgeous spot for watching the sunset. The trail is dog and horse-friendly.
While the trail to the top is mediocre, the views once you get there are absolutely stunning, making for an amazing hike.
The hike begins at the Red Mountain Trailhead, north of Snow Canyon State Park. This trail is very rock and sandy, without much variety in landscape along the way. During the first 0.75 mile or so of the trail there will be fences alongside – eventually, you will cross a gate to continue the hike.
Once you reach the overlook, there are several places to enjoy the view, so you can keep your distance if there are other people around. There are rocks for climbing, but be careful of the cliffs – some are sheer drop-offs of hundreds of feet, going down to the valley below.
If you have a fear of heights, you will still be fine on this hike, however, as you can still enjoy the view far from the edge.

Reviews
This hike is really easy. It is perfect for the family. I loved it because it was super dog friendly so my pup could go run around. The view at the top is worth it. I went in the winter so I didn't need to bring water with the perfect temp. If you go in the summer don't forget to bring plenty of water. overall super good hike
