Description

Short hike to a beautiful suspension bridge displaying the Methow River just outside of Methow, WA.

The pin above is a small gravel parking lot which is clearly marked as "Trail Head" from the road. Once you park you are within eye shot of an information station and the trail is marked as "Suspension Bridge Access." Walk past this sign and continue on the well-groomed trail eastward for just short of a mile. Do not deviate on any of the other smaller forked trails. There is a continuous network of trails in the area, but staying on track to find the bridge is very straight forward if you stay on the most eastward trail without deviation. For a last minute end of day hike or a short destination for relaxation and contemplation, it's worth the little effort it takes.

Getting caught in the dark wouldn't even been a big issue with clearly marked trails and the short distance. There may be bikes or horses on the trail but on a holiday weekend it was not crowded, just watch out for horse apples!
