If you are visiting the small Island of Kho Tao, Thiland, this day trip is one that is not to be missed. Kho Nang Yuan Island is made up of three small islands connected by a sandbar, and the hike to the top leads to you to a viewpoint that graces many Thailand postcards.
In order to get to Koh Nang Yuan Island, you will need to take a 15 minute long tail boat trip starting from Sairee Beach on Koh Tao. The easiest way to book the boat is to visit any tour agency near Saree Beach. Most of these tour groups will book you a boat and a driver for the day. You can also negotiate with local boat owners that wait on the beach! Typically the price for a one-way trip is 150 Baht. Make sure you also bring 100 baht for the island's entrance fee.
For the best views of the islands, take a short hike to the top of the tallest peak. From the pier where you are dropped off, follow the boardwalk to the left and it will lead you to the foot of the stairs that take you to the viewpoint. Wind your way up the steps for about 15 minutes. Although the hike can be quite steep, the view from the top is unbelievable, and is a picture that graces postcards across the country.
Pro Tip: since the Thailand heat can make this hike a scorcher, end your adventure with a snorkel trip around the islands!
