Amazing hike to two 100 foot tall arches in Big South Fork National River!

The trail starts the parking lot which has some nice bathrooms and a nice small picnic area that is open year round. From the trail-head you will follow the signs that will lead you a short mostly flat .7 mile hike to the first arch. Once you get to the first arch there is a small area with some rocks that make great seats to cool off in the shade and drink some water. The trail will continue around arch #1 until you see the next arch that has some cool places kids can check out and walk around under the 100 foot arch. Near the second arch you will see a set of stairs that lead you up to the top of the arches. After climbing the arches you can go to the left to a nearby rocky overlook that you can see the whole valley from. If you go back from the point it will lead you back to the original trail that you came in on. Near the twin arches are many hikes that you can camp at but if you decide to camp then you will need to get a backcountry camping permit: NPS.gov
