Description

Twin Pinnacles Loop is a gentle trail will lead you to the highest peak in Grayson Highlands State Park and offer phenomenal views of the Virginia Highlands beyond.
Park at the Visitor Center; don't stress when you get to the parking lot and can't see it, it's up the hill. From the parking lot hike across the road and find the staircase. Follow this up to the Visitor Center. If you're standing in front of the Visitor Center, the trailhead will be to the left and is marked by a post that says "Twin Pinnacles." Follow this trail and you'll quickly summit the first of two outlooks. Keep following the trail to the second outlook and then to complete the 1.6 mile hike. The trail is very well marked due to heavy foot traffic.
* Note this trail is heavily trafficked. If you wish to avoid the usual weekend crowds I would suggest doing this during the week in the late afternoon or extremely early in the morning.

Reviews
It's a fairly easy and short hike. It's beautiful along the trail and it's gorgeous at the two pinnacle overlooks. The sunset is best seen at the Little Pinnacle, which is really easy to get to. I love the state park that this trail is in and I'm definitely coming back and catching the sunset here every evening I'm there :)
