A super steep hike, excellent as a conditioning hike.
If you're looking for something with low-grade steepness, you're not going to find it here. Gaining over 2,000' in under 2 miles to the summit, this isn't for the faint of heart.
The trail exists because of a buried cable, which has since been exposed and which you can see near the top of the trail. The fact is, the whole thing is steep, and you won't get many breaks during it except once you're close to the summit.
West Tiger #3 has some views, but due to the growth of many trees, you won't see much. If you want something easier on the knees for the way down, consider taking West Tiger #3 Trail back to the trailhead. Regardless, very much worth doing if you're training for something harder, or just to get a good quick workout in.

Reviews
The hike was nice. I definitely took a couple breaks. The summit has recently been deforested so the view is actually really great. Sorry trees. Whats the story on the cable?
