Ice Cream Cruise on Lake Union

Seattle, Washington

Description

Added by Natalie F

Affordable time on the water!

My family and I were in Seattle for a wedding and I believe my mom across this gem being advertised in either a newspaper or a magazine. We had a great time and it was an affordable way to get onto the water and something everyone of all ages could do. I love checking out houseboats, being on the water, and ice cream, so it was a win win for me!  The Captain did a fun tour of Lake Union and an interesting history of his boat.  The views were great and we all had a blast.

If I remember correctly it was a small operation, there were only 2 crew members - one person driving and one selling ice cream. It’s about a 45 minute cruise. It only takes place on Sundays.

From their website: "Directions to Sunday Ice Cream Cruise From the Mercer Exit on Interstate 5, bear right. At the first light turn left. Turn right at Terry Street. Watch for signs and balloons. The m/v Fremont Avenue will be moored just to the MOHAI Museum of History and Industry in S. Lake Union Park."
