Who doesn’t love exploring in the winter? There’s something about a fresh snow that makes the Rocky Mountains in Jasper National Park even more gorgeous. The only thing about that snow...it’s tough to hike in. Enter: snowshoes.

“Learning” to snowshoe may even be an overstatement. It’s super easy and the whole family can do it. It’s as simple as putting one foot in front of the other and sometimes, like at the red chairs in Wilcox Pass, you don't even have to do that.

If you’re visiting Jasper this winter (which you should definitely do!), getting started snowshoeing has never been easier.

At 11:00AM on January 14th, 15th, 21st, and 28th we’ll be hosting group “Learn to Snowshoe” events. They’re free and we’ll provide the snowshoes. Just show up dressed for the snow and we’ll take care of the rest!
