This is a very well hidden area in Quail Valley, not far from where I live in Perris. There's Kabian Memorial Park with benches, a restroom that's usually open and a playground for kids. Adjacent to the park is Kabian Reserve a 640 acre reserve with trails that will lead you to the north end of Canyon Lake. It's hilly terrain with lots of great views of the surrounding area and great views along the lake. If it's rained enough during the winter there will be beautiful wild flowers blooming in spring. The only thing I don't like is the litter in area and there are ATV riders on the the trails sometimes. I'm a hiking tour guide in the Palm Springs area, I've thought about leading hikes here as well, since it's so close to home.
