This is "glamping" at its finest. The resort overlooks the ocean, which is perfect for sunsets on clear evenings. If you're here for dinner, be sure to make reservations in advance (either for the sushi bar or the restaurant, can be made the day of). The sushi bar is popular for good reason (the fish is fresh and delicious), and they only serve sushi until it runs out (my group was at the beginning of the second wave, and they already ran out of salmon!)

If the yurts are out of your price range, try booking the "Sibley tent" at the bottom of the property - it's a big teepee on a raised wooden platform (big enough to fit a double-sized air mattress, with room to spare) that's got amazing, unobstructed views of the Pacific. The marine layer fog does creep in every morning and afternoon so it can be a bit chilly, especially in the fall, but nothing a trip up to the main lodge's fireplace can't fix! Property also features a small pool/jacuzzi and sushi bar, which is a nice treat. There's never a bad time to visit Big Sur!

Treebones is amazing. It is a must do if you are in Big Sur. We stayed in "The Nest" it was such a unique experience. I highly recommend eating at the sushi bar. The sushi is quite popular and the locals love it as well. Just make sure you get there right when they open it gets packed fast.

Can't miss this one, super fun and very romantic
