Marmot Women's PreClip Stretch Jacket

Great rain jacket for spring activities and also for your pack during summer for afternoon storms - really lightweight at a little over 1 lb.

By: Brynn Schmidt + Save to a List

I wore this jacket hiking this past week on a trail in the Flatirons of Boulder, Colorado. The weather included just about everything from wind and sun to slight rain and light snow; as is common in spring in Colorado. It performed really well and was comfortable too. It is also easy to roll up and fit in the top or bottom of a pack when not needed.

It has a unique feature that I really liked which are zippers that unzip upward from each side. When I got a little hot, I would unzip these to let a little more air in. I stayed plenty warm in the 30-40 degree weather with a layer on underneath. I did not experience a downpour in it, but the rain and melting snow from the trees brushed right off. It is perfect for this transition season in Colorado and will be great for summer hikes and backpacking trips as well for all those afternoon storms.

This jacket comes in some super fun colors like this orange and an awesome blue and bright green, as well as black and white. The fit is fairly true to size unless you are someone who is often in-between sizes. If you fall into that category, then I would go down a size as it runs slightly large.
