Description

Added by Andy

A beautiful spot to paddle on Lake Tahoe.

Commons Beach is a small beach and park on the northwest side of the lake. It is located very close to the CA-89 exit, so is ideal for road trip stops. There is a park for kids, and a grassy area near the beach. The beach itself is on the smaller side, but is relatively uncrowded. This area of the lake is perfect to paddle and has kayak and SUP rentals on the beach.  From the main road, you'll drive behind what looks like apartment buildings, and there will be the parking lot for Commons Beach.

Reviews

There’s a parking for this beach. It’s small but depending on when you go you can probably snag a spot. There’s also street parking that’s not too far. If you get a spot in the lot, it makes for an easy approach to the beach to get some paddling in too.
