Park Day at Renaissance Park
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Description
Added by Clare Healy
If you're looking for a clear view of Chattanooga's scenic downtown or a prefect place to watch the evening sun tuck behind Signal Mountain, the centrally-located Renaissance Park is the spot.
Renaissance Park is a 23-acre urban wetlands park, snuggled between the Market Street Bridge and Cherokee Blvd. on Chattanooga's North Shore. This pet-friendly park features nature trails, an outdoor pavilion, public art, and more. If you're smart, you'll bring some broken down cardboard and slide down the big, grassy hill in the middle of the park (adults welcome).
Hammock hanging and slack lining is warmly welcomed.
So grab lunch at one of the many local spots - Sluggo's Vegetarian Cafe is a personal favorite - and enjoy everything this river-facing park has to offer.

Reviews
Do weeds even exist here? The park and its grass is incredibly well cared for, and makes the perfect place for a romantic picnic! My wife and I stopped by here on our road trip from Ohio to Georgia. We had to pay for parking, but it was worth it to see the area and the bridge!
