This viewpoint is easy to get to and offers amazing views of Mt. Hood.

The view from this spot is definitely worth the drive, if you're visiting Portland or the Columbia River Gorge area I highly recommend taking the time to stop here. Not a lot of people know about this spot and its likely you'll be the only person/people there!

If you get the chance, definitely come in the morning for sunrise! The valley gets very foggy and sunrise shots can be epic! Use a small aperture like f/9-f/20 to capture lots of details in your photo. Try and keep you ISO as low as possible and use a fast shutter speed. Depending on the time of day you may need to use a tripod if it starts getting too dark.

From Portland OR. take highway 26 East towards Mt. Hood, before you get to the town of Sandy OR, take a left on Bluff Rd. There is a pull-off for the viewpoint on the right side of the road for you to park.

So cool to take pictures up here on a misty foggy day. My girlfriend got incredible pictures up here

Driving along Bluff Rd from Sandy to Gresham we came across this scenic view point on this clear Oregon day. Before you break out the camera or smart phone, take a few moments and just soak in all the views that looks out for miles. At the bottom of this valley of green you can see the current of the river. After you have taken in all this wonderful landscape, go ahead and break out the camera and start capturing some memories.

This viewpoint is amazingly beautiful. You have an incredible view of Mt. Hood, and the valley below is very impressive. Highly recommend stopping at this viewpoint.

Been out here a few times and while it's a long ways off from Hood, the valley view up really sets a spectacular stage, especially if there's a little weather lingering around. Hopefully they'll add a restroom sooner or later!

Was heading through Sandy on our way home from snowboarding on Mt Hood. Great way to say goodbye to the mountain after a day of playing on boards. Would be a great place to watch the sunrise.

If your going through Sandy, I would recommend stopping at this view point. On a clear day you can see Mt. Hood over the hills and the sandy river right below. The fall foliage is awesome in Autumn time!
