Photograph the Bison of Grand Teton

Moose, Wyoming

Description

Added by Kyle C

Easily view one of North America's largest mammals from your car

For those trying to find wildlife during their trip to Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Park, this is about as close to a guaranteed sighting as you can get. Heading north on 191 a mile or more past Moose Junction you have the opportunity to witness herds of Bison. It is possible to see them all along this road until further north by Cunningham Historical site.

During the day, if there are bison in the area there will most likely be traffic due to people stopping to check the bison out. If you do this, please stop at a safe pull off. Do not get out of your car or try to approach the bison as they have been known to kill individuals doing so. There are varying sizes of bison and it is sometimes interesting witnessing the family dynamics of the various groups.

Be safe and enjoy!
