It's a very short distance 400 ft to the first set of waterfalls from the parking lot. The second set of falls are an additional 600 ft. The trail is very easy to hike (family friendly). If you want to go down to the waters edge it takes a little more skill maneuvering the loose rocks.
Briggs Wood Park Waterfalls are Located 2.5 miles South of Webster City off Highway 17. It is very peaceful watching the water cascade over the rocks and into the stream below. If you follow the water down stream it will lead you to the Boone River.
I arrived at the falls before sunrise because I wanted to have the soft light of the rising sun come from behind the falls. I photographed the falls using a Nikon D800 with a 24-70mm Lens mounted on a tripod set @ F8 ½ iso 200. I set that camera this way because I wanted to show the movement of the water as it flowed over the rocks.
