Description

Added by Danielle Tourigny

The small town of Lubec gazes at the border of Canada and offers some beautiful views, delicious eats and the most Eastern lighthouse in the United States!

We started our adventure in this area by backpacking the Cutler Coast (adventure to come on this)! After our night in the backcountry we drove 20 minutes to the adorable town of Lubec. At West Quoddy State Park, you are able to walk around the cliffs to get views of the Canadian border and see the brightly colored lighthouse that is a photographer's dream against a cloudy backdrop.

We stopped in at Lubec Brewing Company (they allow dogs inside!) for some interesting brews and delicious homemade pizza. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk through the entire downtown. You can also grab some lobster rolls to go from Frank's Dockside Restaurant to eat down in the harbor looking over a gorgeous view of the lobster boats.

Don't forget to put your phone in airplane mode because you are so close to Canada, Verizon thought I had left the country!
