Out there getting wind blown, shaking out the fear and tripping around trails.
I went on a sunny Sunday and the lake was super crowded. While it's a short hike and lovely lake, I'd opt for a lesser visited lake to give the area a bit of a rest -- and for a bit more peace.

This is one of the best mountains for more novice ski mountaineers. Straight forward route with wide open runs almost all the way down. One of the best days I've had skiing in the mountains.

This area of the Sierra is spectacular. The Williamson Bowl is worth the trip alone.

The lake looks an infinity pool at some points and is gorgeous at dusk when the sky is more dimly lit and reflections from the surrounding rock is more visible. You also don't need a permit to hike up to this lake, everything after it you will.

I would plan a trip to Glacier when Going to the Sun Road is still closed to cars just so you can do this ride. It's really special since you can only do it for a short time and during the weekends.

I just did this hike in June. There was still some snow on top, which made it even more challenging and picturesque. Expect to have some mountain goats follow you around looking for some pee puddles (they want the salt). It's a long strenuous hike, but worth every step.

If you're not a rock climber but want to get high over the meadows this is the ideal hike and the perfect place to watch the sunset over Tuolumne Meadows.

This is one of most amazing places to explore in the Sierra. It has so much to see and isn't crowded from creeks, alpine meadows, glaciers, mountains...the list goes on. Just be really mindful about staying on trails and practicing leave no trace because it's fragile up there.

This area has everything you want from the Oregon coast: dense, lush forests, waterfalls, little pristine coves, views over looking the rocky coast line, and fresh air!

This was my first real BC ski tour and it was perfect for my beginner status. Chill slopes going down that will still give you a lot of fun.

I've done this hike from Glacier Point to Tunnel View and it's just as amazing! Great views of the valley all along the way.

This is a go-to trail for me when I want to get a long run in that isn't full of steep up hills and downhills. Great for dogs too. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because you don't get that many great viewpoints along the way.
