Rock Climb in Jalcomulco

To reach Jalcomulco from Xalapa, you have to take the road Xalapa - Totutla, driving 25 miles you will be in the center of Jalcomulco. Once in the town I recommend purchasing the food and water you'll need, since the climbing zone is a bit isolated and should ideally bring your provisions from the town. Once you've bought everything you need, you should go down the Juarez Street (the street from the park and the church from downtown) and drive about a half mile, just after a curve to the left, you will see a sign that says "Selva Azul" exactly on the sign you must turn right into the dirt road and continue right up to where the road ends for cars. As soon as you see two houses, one opposite to the other, there you should leave your car and start walking about 10 minutes to the wall, the path is well-marked with paint on the rocks and most of the time you will see the wall from the road.

As you have reached the base, you must pay $50.00 pesos for the climbing day, if you plan to camp there also must be paid. The owner of the place is called "Soda" and he is a legend in México (when you get there you'll see why) is very friendly and he will serve you personally.

Cerro brujo is a unique rock climbing zone, beautiful routes, bioconstructions and shelters on the wall, vertical gardens, it is a magical place...
