Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA Holiday

Less than 4 miles from the 1,000-foot-deep granite chasm of Colorado's famous Royal Gorge, this KOA offers dramatic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The RV Sites offer a patio area, fire pit and picnic table. The spacious sites are slide-out friendly. Kids will love the amusement park next door that features a go-kart track, 18-hole mini-golf course and a giant gunnysack slide (open Memorial Day to Labor Day with a charge). Dogs and parents will enjoy the K9 playground. The campground serves a pancake breakfast every Sunday as well as freshly made pizza offered daily at the convenience store. A handy shuttle is available to take you to the Royal Gorge Bridge and the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. The area also offers excellent whitewater rafting, zip line tours, a brand-new Dinosaur Expo and plenty of fishing in the Gold Medal Waters of the Arkansas River.
