Iconic steps in the Sunset. Don't run up the steps, the tile is slippery- I have a scar on my knee from taking a hard hit while racing up :)

The tiled steps at 16th Ave are a great stop off and place to get a picture if you're in the area.

Not sure why anyone would want to run on these steps. Ususally people stop to take pictures. There is another set of tiled steps in the city.

I got out of work, picked up a heavy sandwich, and climbed up the 16th Avenues Tiled Steps to the top for a hellva sunset and well-earned meal. The tiles were beautiful though, it's a good thing they're stairs cause I caught myself staring a lot! Also, what Erin said below!

Once you get to the top of the stairs, don't stop! To the right, there is another set of staircases that will take you to an amazing view!

If you want an additional challenge there is another set of staircase you can climb for an amazing view on a clear day. The 2nd set of staircase is on the right once you reached the top of the mosaic steps.
