Combine sight-seeing with exercise with great views of the Hudson River.
To get in both some sights and a workout, follow the Hudson River Greenway to views of the Statue of Liberty, the Chelsea Piers, and George Washington Bridge, to name a few.
This easy-access run is best done in the early morning or early evening, to avoid pedestrian traffic and too much sun. Keep an eye out for cyclists who may share the road at certain sections.
You can start anywhere along the route, but for a 9 mile run start near W 42nd St. Simply keep following the Greenway along the water as far as Battery Park – to shorten your run to a 3 mile loop, turn around at 14th St., or head back at 79th St. for a 4 mile run.
The Greenway is also a great place to stop and catch the sunset, if you time your run in the evening.

Reviews
I biked this and there were great views. During the summer, there's a nice breeze coming off the water. End your ride at City Vineyard for snacks and a glass of wine.

The greenway covers much of Manhattan, ending near the George Washington Bridge, and is incredible scenic all along the way. It can be pretty crowded and there has been significant development of public space and outdoor seating.

Can get really crowded but nice. Especially winter months
