Scenic Fall Road Trip through Grand Teton National Park
3 amazing spots to find fall colors in Grand Teton National Park
Looking for a scenic road trip through Grand Teton National Park to find the fall foliage? It's one of my favorite places to visit during autumn, and there are so many amazing vistas throughout the park. Here's a list of the must stop places to visit from start to finish:
Oxbow Bend
One of the must-stop destinations in Grand Teton National Park is at Oxbow Bend with Mt Moran, especially during fall when all of the quaking aspens turn beautiful shades of yellow and orange. The viewing area is easily accessible by vehicle, but make sure to show up early if you want a good spot. You'll run into a ton of photographers there during the peak fall colors. Check out Michelle's adventure about photographing this amazing location.
Snake River Overlook
If any of you have heard of Ansel Adams, then you probably know about or have seen his iconic capture here at the Snake River Overlook. It's a beautiful black and white image with the Snake River winding around leading you to the Grand Teton. During fall the landscape around the Snake River is lit up with bright yellow, making it a magical sight. Here's the link to my adventure about photographing the Snake River Overlook.
Schwabacher Landing
If you love reflections, jagged mountains, and fall colors, you have to make a stop here. It's one of my favorite places in the park. Here's the link to my story about how to catch fall colors there.
