Description

Added by Conor Barry

Explore some of Utah's best backcountry skiing and catch great views of Mt. Superior, Mt. Wolverine, Twin Lakes, Salt Lake Valley. It's an awesome workout too!

Starting at the parking lot near the Albion Basin gate, travel up the summer road until the second switchback. Just past the second switchback and cabins, leave the summer road heading east. The Trail heads northeast into Grizzly Gulch. It should be easy to follow—it gets a lot of traffic. From here, continue heading east following the gulch. Continue east until you reach the pass.

You'll know you're there when you can see Twin Lakes. To the East you'll see Twin Lakes and Big Cottonwood Canyon. To the south lies Mt. Wolverine. To the west, you'll see the iconic Mt. Superior covered in the "greatest snow on earth." Head back the same way you came.

This trail enters known avalanche terrain. Please be careful. Check the daily avalanche advisory put out by the Utah Avalanche Center. Carry the necessary equipment to make it back in one piece.
