Surf Brooks Street Beach
Laguna Beach, California
Description
Added by Josiah Roe
Brooks Street Beach in the Laguna Beach State Marine Reserve is home to the Brooks Street Classic, one of the oldest continually running surf competition in the world and, when conditions are right, the waves are really, really good.
Brooks Street Beach is just a couple of blocks off the Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. Parking can be tricky, so be forewarned that you may need to walked a few blocks.
Winter can be good, but during the summer and big south swells are when you want to go surfing, so be sure to check out surfline.

Reviews
If you see a big south swell coming in, with a little bit of west in it, you should definitely check out Brooks. There's the second reef roll-in but the real punch comes on the inside section. If it's working, there will be a lot of good, talented locals, so make sure to smile, wait your turn and enjoy surfing in Laguna. It's rare.
