Take a Dip in the Meadow Hot Springs
Millard County, Utah
Description
Added by Eric Bennett
There are 3 warm pools to soak in and it is open all night...hopefully with little to no crowds.
These hot springs are located on private property but the owner allows anyone to come and take a dip. You can camp overnight and also have fires in the several pits near the pools. He just asks all the visitors to keep it cleaner than they found it and Leave No Trace of course. There are 3 different pools, but the first one is said to be the warmest. They are super deep and the water is very clear. Bring some glow-sticks or lights to swim to the bottom if you want (but never leave anything behind), it is also cool to scuba dive here if you have the gear.
Take the Meadow exit 158 just south of Filmore on I-15. Turn left at the stop sign and go under the freeway, passing a Shell station on the right heading south. Keep going until you pass the last buildings on the left. Shortly after passing the buildings on the left, you will see a well maintained dirt road on the right. You will cross a bridge over the freeway and continue straight on the same road until you reach the fence just about 100 meters in front of the first pool.

It was AWESOME! So grateful for whoever came before we went today and cleaned up the place because from the reviews everyone said it was soo dirty and had so much trash. We were so ready to clean up the place but wow we were actually surprised it wasn’t as bad as we thought. The hot spring to your left is hmm maybe 95° it’s like a warm bath and really nice when it’s cold out! The second one without the deck is around 90° Luke warm almost with someee lil fishies! And the third with deck probably around 80-85° it also had the most fish! We went on a Tuesday after 12-4pm with the weather forecast saying “snow / rain” and there was only like 10 people spread amongst the two warmest! Super friendly and cool humans! We heard some people camp out but because it’s raining and the road is gravel and muddy we decided it wasn’t best for our Toyota Corolla. But there’s plenty of camp sites all around if you go on freecampsites.org! We will definitely be coming back anytime we are in Utah! PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!! THANK YOU OWNERS FOR BEING SO AWESOME AND NOT CAPITALIZING OFF A BEAUTIFUL NATURAL CREATION!!

This is an amazing place to stop and swim. There are 3 main hot springs so plenty of room to spread out. Be careful when driving here after rain the mud can get really deep.

Nice spring but filled with drunk high schoolers blasting music and screaming into the night.... basically their party spot

I think the theme is similar to what others have mentioned... 3 different pools. Nice but not very large, so can get crowded quickly! Definitely worth a “check out” but not something I would go back to any time soon. Kinda a been there done that...

Beautiful!! Felt like I was in another world. Only downside is that sometimes you have rude people leaving their trash everywhere but besides that the temperate was perfect👌🏻

Very cool pools. We went at the end of March during the week and it wasn't too crowded. There's a donation box at the entrance but if you don't have any cash maybe take a grocery bag and pick up some trash there's no trash can there so it looks like a lot of people have decided that anywhere is fine. 😒 Don't forget goggles!

When we went on a Tuesday evening there was about 8-10 other people there. Other than that, it was nice. The springs are clear but were not as warm as expected. There wasn't any trash and it wasn't too muddy.

The main hot pool was great. Very hot compared to the snow and you could go very deep if you wanted. Other large pool was also clear but not as hot, didn't go in that one. Didn't go to the third one. Only saw one other person there in the middle of the night in January.

The springs were uncrowded and clean when we went. Very cool unique springs due to their depth. Perfect temperature for spending a long time swimming in. The only trash we found was old glow sticks at the bottom which we retrieved and threw away.

Yes it is crowded on weekends, of course look at this place its awesome. All you have to do is either go in the winter or go on a weekday at sunrise. Sure people can be disrespectful and leave trash but when we went we spent about 15 min picking up all the trash and left it the best we could.
