Visit the Varone Cave and Waterfall
Riva del Garda, Italy
Description
Added by Crystal Sibson
The Varone Waterfall, also known as Cascate del Varone, is a 100 meter waterfall that flows through a narrow cave like gorge.
Colorful lights aluminate the path as it winds its way through the cave to a viewing platform next to the waterfall. The waterfall is so high that you can't see the top from this view point. There is another viewing platform 40 meters above this one. To get to the upper platform go back out of the cave and follow a trail that leads up the mountainside and through a tunnel. After exploring the cave be sure to check out the souvenir shop and bar on site. There is a large open air picnic area with tables available to visitors.
The Varone Waterfall Cave Park is located in Tenno, 3 kilometers from Riva del Garda along 421 national road. The park is open year round but park hours change depending on the season. To see updated park information, entrance fees, and hours of operation visit the Parco Grotta Cascata Varone website.

Reviews
The waterfall inside the cave was massive. It was so tall that you couldn't see the top. I had a hard time taking photos from the viewing platforms due to the mist from the falls. The park surrounding the waterfall was nice.
