Welcome to the newest neighborhood in the Manhattan West Side of New York, the Hudson Yards!
After years of construction, the Vessel opened as a new centerpiece in the Hudson Yards on March of 2019. With 154 steel flights of stairs with 2,500 steps and 80 landings, you're walking adventures around the city of has just begun! Interactive art, green space, shopping, and food... this is a place tourist will want to go to.
Beyond its designer shops and fancy hotels, you'll still find something free to get excited about. Enter the Vessel and climb eight floors of spiral staircase, alternatively, there is also a slow moving elevator to bring you to the top. Adrenaline will rush towards you as you get higher because the Empire State Building isn't the only place where you can get a good view. Looking to the east, you will see the Hudson River and the neighboring city of Hoboken, New Jersey. Other views include Upper West Side and Greenwich Village.
So, 150 feet in the air and looking in all directions, you'll sure be mesmerized by this beautiful steel structure.
Directions:
Located at the Public Square and Gardens next to The Shops, you can take the #7 subway line to the Hudson Yards station which drops you off in front of the Vessel!
Basic Information:
- Purchase free tickets to a specific time slot up to 14 days in advance or pay $10 to enter the Vessel during any opening hours up to 6 months in advance.
- Restrooms are located in The Shops.
- The Vessel is open everyday from 10AM-9PM.

The vessel located in Hudson Yards in New York City is quite a spectacle. It's architecturally fascinating and a really fun way to get your steps in! It's located near the high line and multiple great dining options. So, when you're finished taking pictures and enjoying the views from high above, you can easily grab something to eat or make your way to enjoy a walk on the high line.

Incredible architecture and great photo spot, awesome at golden hour. Afterwards, head to Hudson Yards for restaurants and shops.
