8 Trails You Must Hike in Hocking Hills State Park
Hocking Hills offers some of the best outdoor recreation in all of Ohio, so don't miss these trails during your visit.
1. Old Man's Cave
This is the most popular trail in the park, and my absolute favorite. The cave is incredible, but the trail can get crowded during peak times, so plan accordingly.
2. Lower Falls
Don't skip this short detour from Old Man's Cave.
3. Upper Falls
Hit these falls on your way back from Old Man's Cave.
4. Ash Cave
This massive cave will make you feel tiny in an instant.
5. Rock House
Rock House is a unique cave-like formation carved into the side of a cliff. Climb into the house and take a look around.
6. Cedar Falls
This short hike takes you to a stunning waterfalls that twists through eroded stone.
7. Cantwell Cliffs
I prefer the gorge trail, which takes you beneath the towering cliffs.
8. Conkle's Hollow: Gorge and Rim Trail
Take the time to hike both the gorge and rim trails. Both are spectacular and completely different. While the gorge trail winds through the canyon-like gorge between the cliffs, the rim trail takes you along the very edge of the gorge. I would recommend trying to catch a sunset from the rim trail.
Wherever you go in Hocking Hills, you're in for some amazing sights!
