Bouldering at "Boulder City"

Alta, Wyoming

Description

Added by Naomi Everett

Short and beautiful approach. Boulder problems for all levels. Handful of toprope routes. Relaxed setting. Cute little critters abound.

Starting from the Cathedral Group Turnout off of Jenny Lake Road, find the trail next to the Cathedral Group sign. Follow this trail west into the trees for about 10 minutes. You will come across a very obvious, rocky path on the right hand side of the trail. Follow up and continue until you are surrounded by large, beautiful boulders. Go crazy!

There are several large boulders with interesting problems. A handful of these can be toproped, which makes for a great day of lazy climbing or a spectacular place to teach your friends who are beginners.

Keep an ear out for the peeps of nearby pika and try not to keel over when you see their incredible cuteness!
