Hit the trail early in the day to beat the heat. Hike all the way to the end of the trail (to the left after you reach the Liberty Bell) for a rewarding view of the Colorado River. In March, the cacti and other desert plants burst into bloom along the trail.  The trail is 5.3 miles out and back, perfect for intermediate hikers.

This trail is also accessible from the Colorado River just below the Hoover Dam. Walk through wash from the river then enter a slot canyon and encounter numerous waterfalls. There are anchored ropes to assist in climbing up some of the waterfalls.  The trail features a hot spring, and is typically used by hikers. The trail is available for use year round.
