Amazing 360 degree views of the White Mountains. Countless photo opportunities.
Don't let the relatively short 2.5 mile hike up Mt. Crawford fool you, you certainly work for the amazing views from the summit. Located in Crawford Notch, park in the Davis Path lot almost directly across from the Notchland Inn on Rt. 302. The trail starts by going over a footbridge crossing the Saco River, and passes fairly closely to a few houses before entering the woods. The moderate incline of the trail continues for about .3 miles, then very quickly gets steeper and more difficult for another 2 miles. As you near the summit, the trail breaks open to rock faces, and finding where the trail continues becomes a bit more difficult. Past hikers have built rock cairns which help guide your way. After ducking back into a thickly wooded section for another .2 miles, the trail opens again as you reach the rocky summit, giving full 360 degree views of the beautiful White Mountains.

Reviews
The conditions were very icy and muddy but that was expected being that it's March. The trail was rocky and steep at certain points. Once we hit the top where the boulders are we had an awesome view. Well worth it and recommended.
5.0
Great hike and intermediate is a good rating for this trip. Definitely recommend shoe spikes and at least a walking stick. Watch out for the ice in the winter it is well hidden.
