Explore Rock Creek Canyon
Kane County, Utah
Rock Creek Canyon, Middle Rock Creek Canyon, and Dry Rock Creek Canyon are all accessed off of Buoy 36 at Lake Powell. The canyons are each wonderful places for relaxing on a beach, fishing, or taking in a sunrise / sunset against the towering red rock buttes. Rock Creek Canyon is located in South Lake Powell and is best reached from Wahweap Marina. These canyons are out of the wind, so they ar...
Discover Gregory Butte
Kane County, Utah
Gregory Butte can be accessed by boat or kayak, and is a fun camping location. If you look carefully, you will notice that a large portion of the butte is shaped like a camel.
Gregory Butte is off of Buoy 28 at Last Chance Bay. There are many additional side canyons to explore. The canyon walls in this area are extremely steep and very scenic.
Hike and Swim through Labyrinth Canyon

This hike is a perfect day activity from boating/houseboating/camping Lake Powell. We were houseboating by Gunsight/Cookie Jar Buttes and boated across the bay to Labyrinth Bay. We jumped out when the canyon became too narrow for the ski boat and swam the slot canyon.

Explore Mountain Sheep Canyon
Kane County, Utah
Many people enjoy this section of Lake Powell because of the unsurpassed beauty, relatively low traffic, and nearness of Dangling Rope Marina. There are beautiful campsites and hiking opportunities in this area. If you approach the back of the canyon, keep your eyes open for light colored areas of water. These may indicate rocks just beneath the surface that could damage your boat or kayak.
Explore West Canyon
Kane County, Utah
West Canyon can be accessed from Buoy 25 at Lake Powell. It is best accessed from Wahweap or Antelope Point marina. You can boat as far as 6 miles into the canyon before securely docking your boat for a hike, but the actual distance you boat in depends on current water levels. Hikers can go as far back and for however long they desire. You will encounter several pools, along with several hidden...

The hike through Navajo Canyon to Chaol Falls is a pleasant, scenic, secluded desert hike just outside of Lake Powell, Utah. The trail goes through a long side canyon with picturesque walls. Navajo Canyon is the longest side canyon on Lake Powell that is not a river arm. It is a narrow riverine canyon upstream from Antelope Point marina. The mouth is near Buoy 10 in AZ.

Visit the rock formations west of the parking near the launch ramp. The distance of your walk will vary based on how far you want to go. Although Antelope Point doesn't have one specific trail, there is lots of room for exploration around the marina and Lake Powell.
Directions: from highway 98, turn onto Antelope Point Road.
Kayak Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is perhaps the most well-known and most photographed slot canyon in the United States. But many people probably don’t realize that you can also kayak a portion of the canyon. Just five miles north of Lower Antelope Canyon on BIA Highway N22B is access to Lake Powell. From here, you can kayak the 2.5 miles from Antelope Point through Antelope Canyon. The water in the canyon e...
Paddle Antelope Canyon

Approximately 2.5 miles from the Antelope Point Marina docks to the end of the submerged portion of Antelope Canyon with the option of hiking further up the canyon once the water runs dry. I did not make it all the way to the end of the canyon, but the adventure was still absolutely worth it! There is plenty of parking in the marina parking lot. Entrance requires paid access to Glen Canyon Nati...
