The Great Blue Hill Trail is a moderate climb on a 2.3 mile loop to great views of Boston.

This is family-friendly hike takes you to nice views of Boston, after a moderately challenging stretch of elevation gain. Follow the blue markers along Great Blue Hill Trail to reach the observation tower. This is also a great spot for bird watching, and for exploring the nearby weather station.

Reviews

Great trails and easy to navigate. The Lake area is clean and the beaches are nice. Awesome for mountain bikes.

I've grown up hiking Blue Hills and even 20 years later it's still a great place to go. A pretty relaxing stroll that's great for everyone; and when you get to the top the view is amazing. In the distance you can see Boston and to your east is Ponkapoag pond (which is also a great outdoors location). I highly recommend a visit to the Blue Hills for anyone during any time of the year.
