Awesome views of Cuyahoga Valley National Park-- huge boulders, 100ft+ rock faces, and only spot in northern Ohio that rivals the beauty of the ever so popular Hocking Hills.

Drive and park in the area shown on the map. If you are in the parking lot near a big open field, you made it to the right place. There are two ways to take the trail from here, south or north. I suggest that you go North first (towards the shelter area). Follow this trail into the woods and it will take you down and alongside the ginormous rock faces. In the summer time it can get chilly near the rocks since there are caverns and crevices people can go through. This trail is very simple and easy to follow. In order to get the good pictures and a better experience leave the trail!! There are walkways and areas where one can climb in between the ginormous rock faces. Make sure you have hiking boots with nice tread, the area can get slippery if its wet and there are exposed tree roots everywhere.

There is a spot halfway through the trail head where if you go between the two rock faces, you will see ancient carvings inside - pictures shown up top. You are near the end of the trail when you start to go back up hill - you may be tired at this point but keep pushing!! The best view is at the very end of the trail - the overlook!

This hike is a must-do if you're visiting the Cuyahoga Valley. The ledges are beautiful and fun to explore -- there are different paths you can take, so it has a little bit of that choose-your-adventure vibe! The best time to be at Ledges: sunset. The overlook is the best spot to end the day!

This is a really neat trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The rock formations are cool and you can walk around the giant slabs of rock and the "ledge" type formations. I did this hike in the winter and it was beautiful!

Wonderful way to enjoy unseasonably warm weather for this area. Beautiful landscape and the overlook is wonderful.

There’s a reason they call this area “Ledges”. The trail circles many ledges and different unique rock formations that you are also able to climb through and explore.

Really a great and easy hike through some awesome sandstone formations and a nice rock overlook. Definitely worth your time.

This is one of my favorite trails in CVNP. It is a gorgeous canopied hike through some awesome sandstone cliffs and formations…lots of nooks to explore as well. The trail is relatively easy and short and also readily accessible and, therefore, makes it a very popular destination…so don’t expect any solitude. If you are in the Cleveland area, definitely check it out or make it a weekend trip. There is plenty to see in CVNP.

What a scene this trail holds all the way throughout. The structures you see are incredible. I discovered this adventure spot because of this post, so thank you! Planning to go again soon!

This is a really fun hike it a beautiful part of Ohio, definitely check this out. The view from the top is pretty great too.

Great spot in NEO. Easy and accessible hike for all levels and ages. The overlook is a must see in the fall - following the trail you can start or end there. I suggest making this your last stop. Have fun poking around the rock formations towards the bottom of the hill. Climbing is prohibited though.

This is an awesome adventure! I have explored the ledges multiple times and it's one of my adventures on here. It's a great adventure in all seasons.
