Waco

Cameron Park is shared by hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and dog walkers. You can also fish and canoe in the park. The trail system offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape and is a great place to see wildflowers and wildlife.  There are restrooms, water fountains, picnic areas, frisbee golf, trail maps, and activity guides at the park entrance.

Johnnie, Slinky, Kite Loop is a 1.6 mile loop hike that takes you past a great forest setting located near Waco, TX.

Emmon's Eliff Loop is a 1.1 mile loop hike that takes you by a river located near Waco, TX.

Outack, Cedars, Johnnie, Twin Bridges, Kite, Baseball is a 4.8 mile loop hike that takes you past scenic views located near Waco, TX.

Hale Bopp and Highlander Loop is a 1.7 mile loop hike that takes you past scenic views located near Waco, TX.

River, Twin Bridges, Drain Pipe, Baseball, Thor is a 2.1 mile loop hike that takes you by a river located near Waco, TX.

This loop trail is 2.4 miles long, and is enjoyable for kids and people of all skill levels. The trail is dog friendly and is also used by mountain bikers. The trail is a great for bird watching and trail running. In the spring, this trail features ample opportunities for seeing wildflowers. 

Tonkawa Falls Park is located just outside Crawford, TX (28 minutes, 21 miles) West from Waco, TX. The pocketed limestone bluffs that surround Tonkawa Falls hosts a number of established boulder problems ranging in difficulty from (V1 - V6+). Gravel parking is located to the North of the waterfall. Access the climbing area by crossing over a bridge and make your way to a covered pavilion. Stair...

This trail is shared by hikers, birders, and people on nature trips. The trail features a unique cave that is fun to explore. Mother Neff State Park allows dogs, but they must be kept on leash. The trail is open for use year round, and features gorgeous wildflowers int the spring and fall colors in autumn. There is a state park entry fee of $2 per adult.  You can also camp in the state park.
