Baker Beach
San Francisco, California
Description
Added by Lyndsay Erickson
Tired of the fog? If the sun's out, head to the beach! Baker is a great spot to post up with friends and crack open a few cold ones with a view of the Golden Gate.
If you're looking for a beach that's a little more protected and scenic than Ocean Beach, then Baker Beach is it. Bring a cooler and some burritos out and kick it with your friends. On a sunny weekend day in SF, there's usually a sizable crowd here, so if you need parking, be sure to get here early. If you're not into the whole nudist thing, stay away from the north end of the beach closest to the Golden Gate. If you're looking to bring some food to the beach, Gordos at 24th and Clement will keep you full for the day.

Reviews
Easy beach to spend time at. Great location, so if you are only in town for a day or so, hit up this beach followed by the other activites close by like Land's End Hike. Like the description says, avoid north part of the beach if you don't want to see nude folks.

This is an awesome spot for body surfing - bring your wetsuit, fins, and/or a hand plane if there are waves.
