What is NEET (AIPMT) 2020 all About ?

NEET (AIPMT) 2020 is considered one of the most popular medical entrance exams for admission in about 2,200 MBBS and 300 BDS seats at 130 government medical and 30 dental colleges all over India. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be held on 0May, 2020 except in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Every year, more than 5 lakh students appear in the NEET (AIPMT) medical entrance exams. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 (NEET) 2020 (Earlier known as AIPMT) to screen students for 15% seats in all the medical or dental colleges of India. Several state governments, universities, and institutions also accept NEET (AIPMT) scores to admit students to their MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET (AIPMT) 2020 Application Procedure

  • NEET (AIPMT) 2020 application procedure will start from the 02 December, 2019.

  • Candidate can submit the NEET (AIPMT) 2020 application form only through the online mode. No other process is applicable. 

  • The application form fee for General candidates is Rs 1500/. Fee for the OBC and SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs 800/.

  • NEET (AIPMT) 2020 application fee can be paid through Debit/Credit Card/Challan along with Service Tax as applicable.

NEET (AIPMT) 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be at least 17 years old on last week of December, 2019 to be eligible for the exam.

  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15 percent All India Quota Seats is 25 years – as on last week of December, 2019. However, there is an age relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

  • Those applicants who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English and have scored 50% marks in their Class 12 board exams are eligible for the NEET (AIPMT) exam.

NEET (AIPMT) 2020 Exam Pattern

Generally, NEET (AIPMT) 2020 exam is based on the syllabus prescribed by the NTA. There will be 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany subjects. The question paper will carry a total of 720 marks.

 Important Points to Remember

  • There will be four sets of NEET (AIPMT) Question Papers.

  • The question papers will be set in both English and Hindi Language.

  • All the questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the NTA.

  • Each question can fetch you four marks.

  • One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
