Hike to this natural swimming hole, with cliff jumping and easy marked trails. Makes for a great day trip with rock structures to shelter yourself in case of rain, amazing scenery and multiple waterfalls.
An easy, yet extremely beautiful and well marked drive leads to a pretty sizable parking lot at the trailhead. There are multiple trails to hike, depending on how much time you have or how long you want to hike. This particular trail makes for a perfect day trip from Nashville, Chattanooga or Knoxville.
The trail is nicely marked, well traveled, not too strenuous (could be tricky in places for some) and pet friendly for the most part. It leads to a spiral staircase which takes you to the lower falls (the big falls with Blue Hole, the best swimming hole and cliff jumping). The lower and upper falls both have rocks where you can spread out a picnic, or just to hang around in between dips in the water. This is a very beautiful hike with a rewarding view.

One of my favorite places is this park. I enjoy this one weekdays, when it's less crowded. By far the best park in the area for hiking and with all the waterfalls near Greeter! I've hiked the creek further down at the base of Greeter, and it's just as beautiful. Fun place to hangout for picnics!

Greeter Falls are just so good. An epic 3-walled amphitheater like gulch surrounds you and is actually surreal. The Lower Greeter Falls is definitely one of the most beautiful and impressive waterfalls on the east coast of the States. That isn't even mentioning the upper falls, which rival the height of the lower falls width. The water is super clear and the pool at the bottom of the lower falls is a beautiful aqua color. Although I prefer longer hikes most of the time, the short length of the hike allows you to spend all the time you want marveling at the scenery. Additionally, there are other trails that connect to the Greeter Falls trail system if you want to make this hike longer.

My favorite things to take photos of is a beautiful water. I haven't visited as yet but its definitely on my list of waterfalls to visit. I have a tripped planned in early December hopefully it is still running.

Stopped here as a side trip after hiking at Stone Door all day. Really beautiful, but packed with people. It was late afternoon, so next time I'll definitely arrive early to avoid the crowds. Bring towels and a change of clothes, the water is cold!

I went to savage gulf as my first backpacking trip and on our third day we went by here and it was amazing, we took the extra long way and started at the other end of the park, we hiked 20ish miles to see this waterfall and boy it didn't let us down, great trip, loved every second of savage gulf
